Class Details

First Class: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Second Class: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Jennifaye has been mastering the art of basket weaving since 1990, a skill she learned from her aunt. Sweetgrass basket sewing is not just a craft; it is viewed as a gift from God, passed down through generations. This traditional art form is typically learned from childhood, emphasizing the importance of patience and creativity, as there are no set patterns to follow. Each basket is a unique creation, reflecting the individual style of the artist.

During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind basket, guided by Jennifaye’s expertise. All materials will be provided, so you can focus on bringing your vision to life. Light refreshments will also be served to keep your energy up as you work on your masterpiece.
