In addition to the stunning outdoor spaces, your group can enjoy optional scavenger hunt bingo sheets and visit our Wildlife Center for an engaging educational experience. ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED

We require advance registration for all school and youth group visits. This allows us to coordinate your visit with our program schedule, ensuring that your group has the best possible experience.

We can accommodate up to approximately 60 students at one time. For larger groups, we ask that you split your visit into multiple sessions. If your group exceeds 60 students, additional visits may be required. Please reach out to, EMILY SHALLO 843-571-1266 x 2300 cx@magnoliaplantation.com for more information.

Scavenger hunt bingo sheets are available to make the exploration even more engaging for students as they discover hidden gems throughout the property.

VISITOR GUIDELINES

Bus Arrival: All school buses should first pull up to the drop-off area located in front of the Uber location. Students and staff should remain on board until a Magnolia staff member arrives to provide disembarking instructions. Once students are dropped off, the bus should loop around and park in the designated bus parking area on the far side of the lot.

Personal Belongings: For safety and convenience, please leave backpacks, coats, and other personal items on the bus. If students wish to keep their belongings, they must be worn or carried throughout the day.

Supervision: Students must stay with an adult (tour guide, teacher, or school chaperone) at all times, including during transitions and visits to the gift shop.

Preserving the Garden and Historic Site: We ask for your help in maintaining the beauty and integrity of both the Garden and the Historic Site. Please stay on designated pathways and avoid touching plants, artifacts, or other displays. Students should not touch or disturb any historical artifacts, architecture, furniture, or exhibits as these are an essential part of preserving the site for future generations.

Mindful Navigation: When on busy garden paths, please be mindful of other visitors. If you encounter smaller groups, kindly allow them to pass so everyone can enjoy their experience.

Picnic Area: School groups are welcome to eat in the Basin Pond picnic area, located just beyond the Historic Home. Please note that eating or purchasing food in the Peacock Cafe dining facilities is not permitted. Snacks are available for purchase in the gift shop!

Inclement Weather: Magnolia Plantation and Gardens remains open rain or shine. Refunds will not be issued for inclement weather unless tours or the property are closed.

Photography. We enjoy sharing news and photos from our school visits! With your permission, we may share photos of your group on our website, blog, social media, or in publications. If school policy prevents photo sharing, or if any individual students have opted out of media sharing, please let us know ahead of time. We respect privacy and will ensure we follow all guidelines.

We’re looking forward to your visit!
